Dundee

I have uploaded a few photographs from a recent Demo trip away to Dundee. It was for Burns and Harris and I had a great time. I was demonstrating Sakura and the day was extremely busy indeed. I love when it is really busy! It was my first time in Dundee and I really liked the city. I got my picture taken with the big iron statue of Desperate Dan from the comic the Beano! Carols Camera Memory Card Dundee Aug 08 040 I have always wanted to see this work of art.

Burns and Harris hold this craft event every year, it was midweek, on a Wednesday the 27th August. It was absolutely mobbed!

After the show we were all taken to an Indian Restaurant called BollyWood and treated to a lovely Thank You meal from Mr Burns and the wonderful Pauline from Burns and Harris.

Designs on the Telly!

My Design work has finally made a small claim to fame and has appeared on the telly!

It made it's debut on the 13th July 2008 on Create and Craft TV show at 11am. You can still see repeats of the show just watch out for the title show: CARDOLOGY EMBELLISH WITH SAKURA

I did some design work for Cardology and Sakura with smashing kits that Cardology and Marking World put together. The kits come jam packed full of goodies and are well worth the money.

Design Work 039

For this design I used the Box Template Kit, cut out the box shape template and I made a colour wash with a SAKURA Gelly Roll Glaze pen, colour is #836 Gloss Blue. I then painted the box with the wash and hi-lighted the printed flowers on the box with a SAKURA Gelly Roll Clear Glitter Stardust pen, #700 Clear. Box was then assembled when dry and embellished with blossoms and brads from the kit.

I have a step-by-step colour printed project sheet for this if anyone wants me to email them a copy please let me know by leaving your details in a comment and I will forward this to you.

Thanks for looking.

Cuttlebug Samples

At Rosebuds I made these cards using the new Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders. Just click to enlarge the images.

Design Work 006 This one is made with the new cut and emboss set called "Everyday Greetings".

I bought mine from Rosebuds in Cumnock, Ayrshire. It is a bricks and mortar shop only at present they do not have a website. For stockists of this product you can search at Kars.

Papers used are Anna Griffin and the black and pink core cardstock is from the new Black Magic range from Coredinations and is from Kars. Pearls added are by woodware and available from Rosebuds.

Design Work 012   This one is made using the Cuttlebug Tinkerbell embossing folder called "Magic Happens". I got mine from Krafty Bitz shop in Paisley, again look for your nearest Kars stockist.

The number 3 and the name Amy is cut on the Cricut Expression using the Mickey and Friends Font cartridge from Kars.

The background paper is from Rosebuds, sorry I can't remember the make of it.

Design Work 014

This one is made using the same cut and emboss set as before "Everday Greetings".This time cut and embossed with the new Colour range of cardstock from Core-Dinations.Sand the paper to get the core coming through and it looks so effective and is yet so simple! Loving this paper!

Background paper is Making Memories from Rosebuds.

Pearls added are by Woodware and are available in Rosebuds.

SAKURA NEWS FLASH!

Right....The wonderful world of SAKURA pens have just released 2 new Christmas Glaze colours for all those SAKURA art pen addicts.

I love this companies products so much that I now DEMONSTRATE for them! Even Better!

The colours are a Christmas Red and Christmas Green in the GLAZE collection of pens. We already do a red and green glaze but these new colours are  more "muted" shades like your traditional Christmas reds and greens. Tonnes more Sakura news and samples coming soon.

I do not have time to add any picture's to my blog, which I always think makes a blog really boring...but I am trying so hard to get back up to date and try to be a regular Blogger. I have tonnes of new piccies to share with you all so watch this space!

I need to go and investigate Type Pads page layouts and info etc, as I find this blog boring and want to add a lot more categories down the side for easier viewing......I must confess that I do struggle to find it easy understanding Type Pads layouts etc.,Maybe I am just thick! LOL No comments please. Carol xxx

Exciting Times Ahead!

Well, that's the School Summer Holidays of 2008 over! PHEW......Just awaiting my medal for coping another year! LOL

I am excited to have some "QUALITY ME TIME" again for Crafting etc., I have so many new projects to be getting on with.

STASH SHOPPING

I have had some exciting goodies landing onto my craft table lately. I have recently signed up to the gorgeous Ribbon Kit from Angel Crafts . It arrives in the most adorable Organza bag absolutely stuffed full of a huge selection of ribbons, a trendy rubber stamp and an adorable pack of self adhesive Kaiser Crystals. This months Kit is really summery colours: Citrus Oranges, Lime, Greens and Blues. Yes I know I have a mountain of ribbon, but what I like about this kit is that as it comes all together in the Organza bag, it is very organized for space saving and to see exactly what colours you are looking for and in a selection of different patterns and textures etc.,

Today I popped in to my friends NEW craft shop in Johnstone,HIVE OF CRAFTIVITY ......bad move......Large shopping bag later! I got the most LUSH rubber stamp from a new range by Inkadinkadoo, some Cuttlebug new Xmas dies, Chipboard and some really YUMMY new papers from Daisy Bucket Designs. Off to play now!

Lots of Demos to inform you of coming up so I will list them all in my next post and show some images of new cards and crafty projects I have made recently.

Hello and Hugs to all who read,

Carol

Bad Blogger!

I am really bad at this blogging thingy! My Apologies. I am always so busy! I have been very busy with Demos recently, I have been at The InkSpot in Hamilton at the weekend there, I was at The Paper Mill at the Designer Outlets in Sterling Mills in Tillicoutry and also the one in Livingston so needless to say I have a lot of lovely boxes of new cardstock! At the start of the month I was at Craftology for their very successful craft weekend.

Now I love my Demonstrating job....but it's a nightmare on my bank account as I buy even more stash!

My purchases lately include a lot of the new Penny Black 2008 collection, I love their characters like Dash, Ginger, Cinamon to name a few! and the animals are fab! I had to have the "Ms. Fastidious Cow" and "Plimsoll Pete" the sheep. I have taken a picture of them all to let you see them together. So that is my Penny Black collection with the exception of the Zoophabet Alphabet stamp set....every home should have one they are such a fun alphabet!

Pictures to follow!
